CIS - CubicImage Software, a software company which dedicates itself to science and technology of computer vision and image processing, was created in ZhangJiang Software Park of ShangHai at the beginning of 2005. While the real beginning of its core technology could be traced back to as early as 1998, when its founders started their research on this attractive area. Since then, they have developed a series of core technologies in computer vision, image processing, pattern recognition and virtual reality.

 

   Pattern Recognition For pattern recognition, CIS has developed its core technology of NPR - Number Plate Recognition. The corresponding software products are "CubicPlate" and "JetCodeRecog". The former one is designed for car license plate recognition, which is a hot point in ITS - Intelligent Traffic System. The latter one is for automatic recognition of jet code in industy product lines.

   Camera Tracking and 3D Reconstruction CIS has a strong background in computer vision, especially on camera tracking and 3D reconstruction. It has the core software module of recovering camera motion parameters from movie clips taken with uncalibrated cameras, which allows natural insersions of virtual objects into movie clips.
